Country House Wedding
Peter and Stacey decided to have their wedding in the grounds of their country house in Kincardineshire, Scotland on the outskirts of Laurencekirk.
Being a particularly friendly, creative and ever so slightly bonkers couple they had their wedding exactly as they wanted with a giant Tee-Pee in their garden and the ceremony in a huge brickhouse barn with no roof.
What’s even more hilarious is how I met Peter which really sums up the creativity and ingenuity of this couple.
In the doing of my home refurbishment I listed the old light blue toilet and sink suite that came with the house – remember them! I reckoned that someone on Facebook would love this vintage thing of beauty but it seemed not until Peter contacted me. When I asked him what he wanted with an old light blue toilet and sink he replied that he was building a crazy vintage toilet block in his back garden for his wedding. If he had hired a bespoke one it would have cost £1800.
While he was lifting it in to his van I asked him if he had a photographer booked, and even though the wedding was just several weeks away he said he hadn’t, I promptly gave him my card and him and Stacey liked my work so much he booked me and Jayneanne for the wedding shoot!
It was such an amazing fun day, the guests were colourful and the booze was flowing! It was great to see the old toilet again and use it one last time and finally say Au Revoir to it as we then got in our car and drove back to Perth.
